Te Hoeroa Whānau Hub
Te Hoeroa Whānau Hub is a nurturing environment where Rangatahi can safely explore and celebrate Māori culture. Located beneath Toru Apartments at Remarkables Park, it's a welcoming space for study, recreation, and cultural immersion. Whether you're here to socialize, delve into Te Ao Māori, or kōrero with our Kaimahi Rangatahi (youth workers), all are welcome.
Rangatahi Support
We provide a range of services for Rangatahi to promote hauora, enhance leadership skills, and empower Rangatahi to reach their full potential as future leaders in our community. By providing support networks, wānanga, and one-on-one mentoring, we foster personal growth, resilience, and a sense of purpose, preparing young people to navigate challenges and thrive in their futures.Get in touch via referrals@manatahuna.co.nz or pop in and see us at Te Hoeroa Whānau Hub, Cherry Blossom Ave, Remarkables Park.
Promoting Equitable Outcomes
We are dedicated to creating brighter futures for our Rangatahi by enhancing Māori and Pasifika representation in upcoming industries. We are breaking down educational barriers and ensuring equitable access to opportunities for all Rangatahi.
Mau Rakau
Mau Rākau is a traditional Māori martial art where one learns the practices, values and protocols of a Māori warrior.
This unique programme gives our kids the opportunity to learn Māori culture and traditions, gain new skills and get fit.
This programme is run by Matua Ned Webster who is currently Pou-Whā. Ned provides a fun and inclusive learning environment where kids develop a specialised skill set, and help to preserve the rich culture and art of the Māori warrior.
He taonga te mokopuna, kia whāngaia, kia tipu, kia rea.
A child is a treasure, to be nurtured, to grow, to flourish.
